Pantie model or lingerie model it makes little or no difference they both portray the same image. Anorexic stick insects that look as though they need a few hot dinners inside them. They make lingerie in all sizes these days so you would expect the pantie model to come in many shapes and sizes too. Some would even say that these wafer thin pantie model types are encouraging women to loose more weight than is good for them.
Women come in all shapes and sizes not just starvation style so it follows that they would want to see a pantie model they identify with. Unfortunately the fashion industry and especially the lingerie section always wants to hang it's latest creations on a human clothes horse. You could be forgiven for thinking that lingerie and pantie styles are only available to fit these stick insects alone.
Fortunately some of the cleverer fashion houses are waking up to the needs of the market. Their pantie model types have more realistic looking bodies and this in turn is boosting their sales. Now that the larger lady can identify herself with the woman she sees parading on the catwalk she is far more likely to purchase the lingerie she is wearing.
Of course when it comes to the pantie model their will always be that subtle statement of size. The female population is constantly under pressure from the fashion industry to diet and lose weight. While ever they refuse to accept any responsibility for the image they portray women will feel pressured to look like a pantie model themselves.
Sooner or later the world of fashion is going to have to come to terms with the damage it is doing with it's pantie model image. Maybe then they will realize that the shape of the average woman is changing and they have been losing a pot of money. The market for plus size lingerie for the curvy woman is huge and they aren't going to crack into it with a anorexic pantie model.
